Brenda Scobiesczyk and the Deja Vu Story
An entrepreneurial spirit and a creative soul led me to try out my
business skills at craft shows and markets around Wisconsin. That was 1990 – at
the time, I was attending about 50 shows a year, and the success with sales was
proof enough that I needed to take the next step and start my own business. I
opened a store in Oshkosh, enjoying nine years there before moving it to Berlin in
2011. Some years later, Ripon was beginning to experience a lot of growth in the
downtown district – storefronts that had been vacant for a long time were being
renovated by owners of retail and restaurant businesses. So I decided to “join the
party,” establishing Deja Vu Consignment Boutique on Watson Street in 2020.
That turned out to be a very good decision – Ripon was quickly becoming a
popular shopping destination, and my store appealed to those shoppers. Soon
after experiencing much success in that location, and spending most of my time
there, I closed the Berlin store in 2021, moving the inventory to Ripon.
Moving on – Deja Vu goes online
After listening to clients' requests (many from out-of-town) to establish
an online presence, in 2022 Deja Vu expanded to include a website. This enabled
me to share ongoing inventory changes and offerings with a digital market,
making it easy and convenient to shop online.
Deja Vu Consignment Boutique and Home LLC, located in downtown
Ripon, Wisconsin, is a “unique boutique,” featuring adorable fashion clothing,
accessories and jewelry, as well as home décor items. A large inventory that
changes daily allows for a wide selection and Happy Customers!
